Update on the Life of Ms. Honey Monroe ^_^

Hey Everybody :]

I know I've been so "MIA" from all of my accounts lately, even TWITTER! but I've been super busy with graduation & work & just life period, & to top it off my laptop wanted to go crazy for about two weeks. The charger decided it was tired & didn't want to work anymore, then out of nowhere today it started working. But yeah, I'm sure if you keep up with me on Twitter you have an "idea" of what my life has consisted of lately.

My last day of extern is on Monday & I am beyond hype. Graduation is May 7th, 2010 @ 7pm. I am so excited! I did it :] This is only the beginning for me. I'm looking into Paul Mitchell The School Houston. That's my next goal, & with God by my side I know I'll get there. *crossing fingers* Next Summer is the deadline.

My make-up project isn't where I want it to be, and that's partially my fault. I haven't been putting as much effort into it as I should, but that will be changing as soon as this whole graduation thing passes. This weekend I had a HUGE gig in the valley, but I ended up not being able to make it. I felt horrible about the situation, & that didn't make me look like the best person, but everything happens for a reason. I guess it just wasn't meant for me to go.

****ATTENTION******

I'm looking for models to work on & take pictures of so I can add to my portfolio. As of now I'll just be doing make-up, so your wardrobe isn't really a big deal. I just ask that you wear a black top. NO loose T-Shirts please! & by loose I mean your boyfriends shirt lol. Keep it classy!

If Interested in being in my portfolio or booking contact me at: HoneySkillz@yahoo.com

MyTouch Review

As many of you saw [if you watch my YouTube channel] I gave up my BlackBerry & got the Motorola CLIQ.

Well...

I ended up taking that phone back & getting the MyTouch. Now, in the Motorola CLIQ Review Blog & Video I mentioned that the salesman did warn me about the Moto Cliq & I chose to ignore him, well maybe I should have listened to him; afterall, he does work there, so he has to have some type of knowledge. Anywho, the things I didn't like about the Moto CLIQ for one was the battery life. I felt like I had to have my charger with me everywhere in case it died, that was no fun. Second, it was slow [to me.] seemed like I had to wait forever for the screen to close out or change to another application. I'm a very inpatient person when it comes to electronics; so that was a big negative for me. I got tired of the keyboard too quick & it was soo much of a pain [to me]. I liked it for max 4 days, after that I was over it. If I lose attention in something THAT quickly then something's wrong.

I switched out the phones and I'm very glad I did; even though I am NOT glad about that $10.00 restock fee I had to pay, but anyway, I love it :] I got it in white & w/the rubber case & wristband for it :]

The only flaw that I can think of with the MyTouch is that the camera does not have a flash, that I know of -_- but other than that, I don't regret getting it what so ever. It's so much like the iPhone; so me being a previous iPhone user made it that much easier for me to get the hang of this phone.

I'm NOT saying that the Motorola CLIQ sucks or anything like that. Every single individual has a different view & opinion as to what they like. For me, sadly, it wasn't what I wanted, nor expected. For you, it may be different. I recommend you find a friend, or family member who may have the phone & that will actually allow you to mess around with it.

Allow my reviews to HELP you choose :]

I'm going to be posting a video review really soon, so stay tuned. xoxoxoxo

St. Patrick's Day Make-Up Tutorial.

Things Used:
  1. Maybelline EyeStudio [70 Ivy Icon]
  2. MAC [4 color palette]
  3. MAC 217 Blending Brush
  4. E.L.F eye defining brush [2]
  5. E.L.F eyeshadow brush
  6. Loreal Paris Carbon Black Lineur Intense [liquid liner]
  7. Black Radiance Black Eyeliner Pencil
  8. Maybelline- The Colossal Volum Express Mascara.
  9. My Spots Are Concealed Concealer
  10. Black Radiance Two Eye Shadow Set in Black & White

Step 1: Apply a fair amount of concealer to the eyelid. Be sure not to apply a lot of product to the eye, or else the shadow with look scaly, and you don't want that.
Step 2: Take one of the E.L.F eye defining brushes and pick up some of the white shadow from the Black Radiance Two Eye Shadow Set. Apply all over the lid, up to the eyebrow. This will blend with the green once applied & will make it stand out more.
Step 3: Take your E.L.F eyeshadow brush and pick up the solid green color from the Maybelline EyeStudio [70 Ivy Icon]. Only apply to half of the lid.
Step 4: Take the MAC 217 Blending Brush & pick up the other color from the Maybelline EyeStudio [70 Ivy Icon]. Apply to the other half of the lid blending it well up to the crease and up close to the eyebrow.
Step 5: Take a cream color shadow for your highlight. The one I used is in the MAC 4 color palette I put together. Any color close to it should work. Apply this right under your eyebrow, blending it well with the other 2 colors already used.

BLENDING IS KEY!

Step 6: Use the liquid eyeliner to line the top lid. A semi thick line is what shows in the video. The choice is yours.
Step 7: Use the Black Radiance pencil eyeline to like the bottom lash line.
Step 8: Curl eyelashes & apply Mascara.
